As construction nears completion, the Central Core Fire Training Center stands as a strong example of regional collaboration in action. Located in Shrewsbury, this facility brings together the cities of Brentwood, Clayton, Maplewood, and Richmond Heights with a shared goal of strengthening emergency response across the region.
Designed to support hands-on, scenario-based training, the facility provides modern, purpose-built spaces that reflect the real conditions firefighters and first responders face every day. Constructed using modular shipping containers, the structure creates a flexible and realistic training environment that can simulate a wide range of emergency scenarios. This approach not only enhances technical skills, but also improves coordination and communication between departments, an essential component of effective emergency response.
Serving as Owner’s Representative, NAVIGATE has supported this project from early planning through construction, helping guide a complex, multi-municipality effort into a nearly completed, high-impact community asset. As the project reaches the finish line, the Central Core Fire Training Center is positioned to play a vital role in advancing safety, preparedness, and long-term resilience for the communities it serves.
