National First Responders Day: Building the Places Where Response Begins

NAVIGATE Building Solutions

October 28, 2026

October 28 is National First Responders Day, a day to recognize the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, 911 dispatchers, and emergency managers who serve our communities around the clock.

At NAVIGATE Building Solutions, we’ve had the privilege of working with more than 20 public safety agencies across Missouri, including fire protection districts, ambulance districts, police departments, and county emergency services boards. The facilities these agencies rely on have unique demands. They house critical communications systems, support crews through long shifts, and must remain functional when communities need them most.

Getting these facilities right starts long before construction. As an owner’s representative, NAVIGATE serves as an advocate for the agency throughout the process. We help leadership understand what their operations require, test whether a project is financially and practically achievable, and build community support when funding goes before voters. Once a project moves forward, we stay involved through design and construction, keeping budgets, schedules, and priorities on track so the agency can stay focused on serving the public.

Our recent work includes a new 911 Dispatch Center and EOC for the Lincoln County Emergency Services Board, a police station and 911 dispatch renovation for the City of Pleasant Hill, and a joint justice center with 911 and EOC space for Perry County and the City of Perryville. We’re also currently supporting new and renovated stations for Meramec Valley Ambulance District, a 911 and EOC facility for Callaway County, and a 911 dispatch center addition and renovation for Warren County Emergency Services. For St. Charles County Ambulance District, our advisors have been trusted partners for 20 years. We oversaw their headquarters, have helped with more than 10 ambulance base stations, and are currently working with them on the expansion of additional base stations.

To every first responder, thank you for your service. We’re proud to help build the spaces you depend on and grateful to the agencies that have trusted us to be part of their projects.
