NAVIGATE Building Solutions
June 27, 2025
The City of Pleasant Hill recently broke ground on its new animal shelter, kicking off a much-anticipated project that will provide a modern, safe, and welcoming space for animals, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
The new shelter will feature expanded enclosures, improved isolation areas, accessible wash and water stations, dedicated spaces for medicine storage, and clearly separated zones for the public and staff. In addition to meeting the community’s growing needs, the design prioritizes functionality, ADA compliance, and a more identifiable presence in the community.
NAVIGATE is proud to serve as the City’s Owner’s Representative on this important project. Our team is providing full-service support — from guiding early decisions and evaluating cost options to managing the construction process and maintaining alignment with the City’s goals. The decision to shift from renovating the existing facility to building new was driven by both cost and logistical considerations, and NAVIGATE played a key role in that analysis.
We’re honored to help Pleasant Hill bring this project to life — and to help create a shelter that reflects the care and commitment this community has for its animals.
